Mid Mountain Maintenance and Administration Building
If you are ever at the Marmot Basin Ski Resort you can see the Maintenance and Administration building we built for them in full use. This Great Workplace was created on the side of a mountain 2 chair lifts up from the parking lot.
Scott Builders acted as Construction Manager working directly with the ownership group, end user group, parks Canada and our consultant partners to design and construct a facility that meets the needs of the users while striking a balance with energy efficiency, durability, and value for $$ spent.
The construction challenges creating this great workplace included very remote access and a very short construction season. We learned a tremendous amount about how to complete a construction project while not damaging the natural environment and the surrounding wildlife habitat. It also have everything a place can have to live or work, bathrooms, working space, kitchen and others commodities.
From having our trades people provided with specific training on bears and wildlife prior to arriving at site to a exhaustive environmental stewardship review and assurance site specific program that was adopted, we felt we were able to live our values of safety and community while providing exceptional service to our client.
We always enjoy working on a project that is unique and this one is as unique as they get. If anyone has a unique construction problem don’t hesitate to contact us.
