Vice President & General Manager
Reporting directly to the Lead Estimator, Operations Manager and VP General Manager, the Estimator will take on estimating within the Estimating group in all aspect of the estimating process.
We are looking for an individual with a professional and pleasant demeanor with the ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a team environment. Attention to detail and accuracy, planning and organizational skills are required to be successful in this position.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Understanding specifications and design drawings
- Solicit, obtain, evaluate bids and secure pricing
- Tender and close projects
- Understand and compare sub trade scopes and bids
- Enhance sub trade and supplier lists and relations
- Develop and maintain historical data
Strong communication skills are required. Must be detail orientated and able to work effectively with little supervision or within a team environment.
The ideal candidate will have Post Secondary education or equivalent experience in estimating, project management or construction background along with 3 – 5 years experience, preferably in a construction/engineering environment.
