A new grocery store is being constructed on the O’Chiese First Nations. This has been a unique opportunity for us. We have partnered with a great group of people to not only construct this new facility but also to learn more about a culture that we are not exposed to as often as perhaps we should be.
The site is planned for three buildings, a grocery store (currently under construction), a gas station and a new administration building. The new grocery store is 11,550 sq.ft. and will store enough food to support a community of 3000.
It has been a fun project full of new challenges that one would not normally come across at a construction site in a city or town.
The workers at O’Chiese are never lonely as they continuously have the companionship of wild dogs all of which have now found homes.
