Peerless Trout First Nation
Peerless Trout First Nation Administration Building – Building on a Solid Foundation
We are completing the foundations on a exciting new project for Peerless Trout First Nation. We have been working with the Band since April completing the final design and engineering on a new 19,000 sq ft Band Administration Facility. The building will be home to Chief and Council meetings, offices for administration staff as well as flexible space for other community groups.
We have built win/win partnerships with Peerless Trout Enterprises and Peerless Trout Development Corporation, allowing us to contract over 15% of the total project value to local companies. All site work, excavation, gravel supply and associated labour is being completed by Peerless Trout Enterprises. Peerless Trout Development Corp is also providing a variety of materials and equipment to the project, ranging from construction equipment rentals, onsite camp facilities to providing the supply of the concrete. In a neat turn of events, at treaty days, when the 2nd bobcat would not start, and the parade was waiting to go we were able to lend one of our bobcat’s to help fly the flag 🙂
Once again the formula of partnering with local companies and the local community to complete a project is the best way to guarantee shared success for the project and everyone involved. Once this commercial building is complete it will no doubt live up to our vision of being a “Great Workplace”
If you are considering a project in a remote area or on a First Nation, don’t hesitate to contact us to help with your project planning. It’s never too early for a Integrated Design Build partner to get involved.
